3995.0. "some IMPM questions" by STKHLM::BERGGREN (Nils Berggren EIS/Project dpmt, Sweden DTN 876-8287) Fri Oct 30 1992 04:12
Hi, I have some questions regarding the Iconic Map PM.
We're in the process of selling DECmcc to the Swedish PTT for management
of radio/TV transmitter-stations. The entity-model is like:
Transmitter Station (TS) : Global entity
TV-transmitter (TT) : Child of TS
Radio-Transmitter (RT) : Child of TS
Management-equipment (ME) : Child of TS
There can be none or many children under any TS. In the map, when clicking
on a TS-Icon, they would like to get the lines of child-entities greyed out
if there's no child instead having to click on the line and get the message
"this entity has no children" or whatever you get.
Is this possible?
Furthermore, they would like to have living icons like the DEChub, where
you could have some colored dots reflecting some important statusvariables.
Is this possible? (of course this is possible, it has been done, but is it
doable at a customer site?)
thanks
Nils

| Currently there are no plans to gray out a sub entity if it has no children.
