In preparation for a cuatomer demo event, I'm looking for a little assistance. Specifically: 1. does anyone have any canned DECmcc reports and graphs in a format that I could copy over the network (.ps ?) and print out for customer distribution? 2. is the SNA access module available internally? I know I cann't demo the SNA AM because of the logistical problems, but I though possibly that I could paartially register SNA devices just to show how it might appear from the DECmcc perspective. Anyone have any other suggestions on how I might demo the some capabilities to manage the SNA environment? Thanks. Merlin

Merlin, I have been tasked with setting up DECmcc on the demo system on the Open/Net, area 45 on the Easynet (0ld ACTnet). If you are at a facility that has a demo center, we may be able to help. I have also generated some reports which can be made available for a demo. With regard to the SNA software....it has just gone to SSD and pointers to same can be found in notes file NOTED::POLYCENTER_SNA_MANAGER. The problem is that unless you have access to the IBM system and currently, the only one supporting any kind of SNA MCC demo is the one in Valbonne, you won't be able to do anything other than show the TOOLKIT icons. According to what I've read so far, SNANODES do not support partial registration. Those in the know, please correct any bad information here! If I can be of assistance, please give me a call directly. Al |
