Hi, are there any ways to trigger or cause a terminal server to downline load itself from DECmcc with TSAM installed ? Thanks, - LEH.

Yes. Use the RESET directive against the Terminal_Server global entity. -Dave

Well, I think that RESET may do the same as an INTIALIZE DELAY 0, right? A trigger is a little different - it works by sending a MOP trigger message directly to the server, not via remote console. The difference is important when you have a server in a state where it can't accept a remote console connection. So it depends if you want a real TRIGGER or if you just want an INIT DELAY 0 The latest TSM supports the TRIGGER command, but I don't think that TS AM does. - Linda

Linda's right: the RESET directive executes a INIT DELAY 0. It is not possible to send a MOP trigger request via TSAM V1.0. -Dave |
