Hi All,
I have a customer who is trying to install MCC EMS V2.0 on a system
which fails.
It appears that the install fails to create the NMCCKERNEL account
but continues, only to fall over when later trying to install the
product as the account isn't there.
If you create the NMCCKERNEL account manually and then try the
install it gets further but falls over when trying to parse the
image NMCCKERNEL.EXE.

First a version clarification: V2.1 EMS contains DECmcc BMS v1.1, NMCC/DECNET MONITOR V2.3 and a number of other kits. However, this kit is being replaced this month with V2.3 of EMS and it no longer contains NMCC/DECNET MONITOR which is in the process of being retired. Your error: I suspect the error is due to a known bug in the Decnet Monitor part of the install. Please be sure all the prerequisite software is installed. I've seen this error when GKS for example is mssing from the system. Pls send me mail if you need further assistance. | |||||
