I've been using the T1.2.7 kit for Ultrix. Since the licenses recently expired for this field test version, I had obtained new licenses from VTX for (presumably) the SSB kit (DECMCC-DIRECTOR and DECMCC-DEV-TK licenses). Things were working fine until today when I had to reinstall MCC. However, the reinstallation complains about missing licenses. It appears that the installation script is looking for the old DECMCC-BMS license and will not accept the DECMCC-DIRECTOR license (even though the software worked previously under the new paks). Can someone in the know please either generate extended T1.2.7 license paks for me or provide me with new installation scripts that can bypass this problem? I've included some diagnostics below: No license was found for this product ******************* W A R N I N G ****************** * * * You have NOT registered the DECmcc BMS for ULTRIX V1.2 * * license!! You will not be able to install this product * * until a valid license has been registered and loaded. * * Use the lmf utility to register a licensed DECmcc BMS * * for ULTRIX V1.2 PAK. * * * ************************************************************ Refer to the DECmcc BMS Installation Guide for more information. Installation declined by subset control program. DECmcc Basic Management System (MCRBMST127) will not be loaded. Thanks, David Wong TNSG/Software Performance Group

The field test PAKs were set to expire explicitely because we do not have the resources to support many versions in the field. For unique support requests, please contact Larry (TOOK::) Wellington (supervisor for Technical Support and Training) |
