3807.0. "%CDD-F-NOATTACH, unable to attach to dictionary database" by ZPOVC::SINSPS () Mon Sep 28 1992 03:13
Hi, I've a customer who just upgrade his BMS from 1.1 to 1.2.
Correspondingly, he also upgrade the following related products :-
1) RDB 3.1 to 4.0
2) CDD 4.2 to 5.0
3) DTR 5.0 to 5.1
After that when he did a "DTR > SHOW database-name", he encountered
the following error message :-
"%CDD-F-NOATTACH, unable to attach to dictionary database.
-RDB-F-WRONG_ODS, the on-disk structure of database filename is not
supported by version of facility being used.
-RDMS-F-ROOTMAJVER, database format is not compatible with software
version".
Can anybody explain what are the possible causes of this error message ?
Thanks,
Eng-Huat.

| It appears from your note that there was a change in the format
of the database files on your system (perhaps due to the RDB upgrade?)
Are you sure that there weren't conversion instructions with the upgrade?
I think the reason that you aren't getting an answer here is that
you need a RDB expert, not an MCC expert.
