3805.0. "Access violation during IP Autoconfiguration" by CX3PT3::EMAWIZ::T_MILTON () Fri Sep 25 1992 16:54
A customer is receiving an access violation when running
the IP Autoconfiguration utility. The Discovery and Registration
option 2 has been chosen and then the following permit is added:
permit 130.110.0.0 255.255.0.0
The autotopology queries about 50 nodes and then fails with:
Querying host 103.110.32.25
Host 130.110.86.2 has 1 addresses, 1 interfaces
IP 103.110.86.2, IF#1 Ethernet1, type = 6, state=1/1, net=130.110.0.0

I reviewed all of the user quotas and could find no problem.
When the customer specifies a different permit like:
permit 130.110.32.0 255.255.0.0
Then the autoconfiguration completes without errors.
The customer has a NOVELL file server which is acting as an
ip gateway. The local MCC station is running version 2.0 UCX.
Any ideas?
Ted.
