I have a customer who said when he upgraded from BMS 1.1 to 1.2, he had problems registering "new" SNMP nodes. The info he faxed me said that all of his IP entities from the 1.1 worked o.k. and he is able to manage them, but when he tries to register something new he gets the message Required-name space directory does not exist. He then tried running DNS_setup.com and received the message SNMP_Backtranslation directory was not created. Can anyone provide any assistance or suggestions. thanx.......d.j.

Hi, Try going into dns$control and add in the mcc_snmp_backtranslation directory. Without this directory mcc won't be able to add anything into the namespace. Bipin. |
