I have a customer who wants to turn off IP forwarding from one of the Ethernet segments on his DECbridge 610 into the rest of the network and he has to do this in line mode (he is still waiting for delivery of his workstation). Can anyone provide me with the exact line mode commands to do this? Any help is much appreciated. This note is also posted in the FDDI conference.

If your customer wants to filter IP traffic from one line of the DECbridge 610, then the following should work: mcc>use default entity bridge <bridge_id> protocol database mcc>create sap entry 06 filter ports=(<port num>) See page 5-12 of the Bridge AM Use Guide for more information on per port filtering.
