Hi We are in competition with SUNNET, and amongst the questions which are asked by the customer (Thomson) I was not able to answer the following : " How many bytes grab the historisation of a poll of the counters of an Interface of an SNMP entity". The question is for MCC/ULTRIX. Any help or hint to measure it will be welcome. Jacques

On the back of an envelope it comes out to about 300 bytes stored
per poll. A more precise estimate will be supplied here ina couple
of days.

Historical storing of counters partition for snmp interface
entity takes 240 bytes per poll (assuming that all counters are returned).

Thanks for this data, it is MUCH less than what I thought
(1.5 block per poll) -
Thanks also for having answered so quickly to such a ...funny
question
