I have noticed that you can define the use of an alternate identifier
for node4- and snmp-entities. Is this (or will it be in the future) also
possible for bridges, stations, terminal servers etc? What I would like
to do is to register for example a bridge using a DNS fullname, but be
able to display it on the map using a shorter name, a synonym if you
like.
Some of our customers have asked for this possibility.

| I think what you mean is what is called a synonym. Terminal servers,
and (I suspect) the other entites you mention all already have alternate
identifiers. The problem for you is that they are all equally unfriendly and
all too long :-)
I'll put this on the incredibly long wish-list for TSAM...
