3682.0. "Ericsson ERIPAX AM?" by FROCKY::ERIKSSON () Thu Sep 03 1992 11:23

Hi all,

are there any plans to do an Access Module for the Ericsson ERIPAX X.25 switch?

If not, can anyone say something about the scope (e.g. VERY approximate man days)
of such a project?

We have a potential customer for it here in Frankfurt.

Best regards
Thomas

P.S: Maybe this would be a nice project for DEC Sweden...?

Before answering this question , you need (and your customer) decide exactly
what they want to get from this : Do they want just send alarms/events to mcc
or do they want as well send commands to the x25 siwtches .

as you might know , Ericsson sell a management platform based on VMS to
manage their X25 switchs (nms400) . If your customer just want to start
with a central alarm system from Mcc , then you should through the
Data collector be able to get those informations .

Again , this directly depend on the scope of the customer needs .
Can you provide more information ?

Also - it quite possible that the Script AM could provide simple
integration into the Ericsson management platform *without* the need to
develop an entire Access Module of your own.
