hi, when using a special account for alarms, is there only one alarm_fm process for all decmcc users (DECmcc ultrix) and how we specify that we want to have only one alarm_fm running instead of one per user ? /denis

I am not sure that I understand your questions. The way DECmcc for ULTRIX works is that there will only be one copy of any given MM running per UID. Regardless of how many people are logged in to an account, if it is only one account (UID) then they will all share a copy of the alarms_fm (or any other AM/FM). If you have multiple users using different UIDs, then each of them will get their own copy of any MM the invoke. It is not possible for multiple different users to share an MM. -- Erik |
