Cross posted in both the MCC and DMS-IFT conferences ---------------------------------------------------- I am having a problem with the ALL ATTRIBUTES attribute group. POLYCENTER System Census (formerly known as R/CMP) defines objects under the NODE entity that have many (100's) of instances. The way the DECmcc PM's seem to work in an ALL ATTRIBUTES directive is to: 1) Do an ALL IDENTIFIERS. 2) Buffer instances into memory. 3) Go to each specific instance and query the remaining partitions defined for the object for that instance. It also appears that for each additional partition (other than Identifiers), a separate thread is created to do the partition query. When the instances of an object are less than 20 (approximately) everything works fine. However when the instances are higher (for example 60 instances of a DISK), the DECmcc FCL seems to hang. My problem is that I don't know whether the problem lies with DECmcc or the VMS Common Agent (on the entity side). Querying one partition for 1000s of instances consistently works fine. Can anybody from DECmcc development or VMS Common Agent development she some light on this? I would be happy to provide the necessary DAP command file and MOM. -John
