3612.0. "lost Iconic maps after restoring password field" by BRAT::BUKOWSKI () Mon Aug 24 1992 12:54

    Hi.

I am running MCC v1.2 on VMS 5.4-3

I was using the ELM am and Iconic map pm to modify bridge
characteristics. I was typing with the password field. At first
I thought my character echo was slow, but I then realized that
no echo is set, so I hit MB2 and reset the field. Then, I typed
the password I wanted, and before I could hit return, I lost all
my MCC windows, and the stack dump follows. BTW: I can recreate the
    incident.

Entered as QAR 3379, at medium priority.

This seems an unusual enough occurance so as not to be high priority even
though it is an accvio; let me know if you disagree.

Mike,

When the acc-vio occurred, were you typing into the text widget for the
password Characteristic attribute or had you done an MB2 expand for the
password field and were you typing into that?

The exact sequence of what you did to cause the acc-vio might help us track
down the problem.

Thanks,
Verna

Sorry for the delay (extremely busy here...)

I did not use the MB2 expand field. I used MB2 reset field and
immediately afterwards I started to type in the password field.
As I was typing, the acc-vio occured.

BTW: I don't usually monitor the notes, so you are best of to get me
    by E-MAIL..
