3554.0. "How to enable all rules in all domain automatically ?" by BLG03::ROSSI () Thu Aug 13 1992 07:52

    Hello,
We have 11 domains in our MCC configuration.

How is possible to enable all the rules in all domains automatically
    from iconic map?

We already use a rule that, when enabled, executes a command file
in a batch queue containing this commands:

    	$ manage/enter
    		enable domain dom_name_1 rule *
    		....
    		enable domain dom_name_11 rule *

    		( or enable mcc 0 rule * , in domain dom_name_n )

Looking at rules status from iconic map We found a "Disabled" state
for all the rules, but rules seems enabled until the batch process
    is alive.

The only solution We found is a terminal permanently open executing the
    above MCC commands.

Is there other solution from Iconic Map to enable all rules in all
    domains ?

    Thanks in advance

3554.2You can enable all the rules in one domainTOOK::A_MOOREFri Aug 14 1992 10:1718

You may already know this, but others may not.

For one domain or map you can enable all the rules by:
	1. MB2 to the rule view window.
	2. Pull down edit to select all the rules
	3. Pull down operation pulldown, releasing on enable button
	4. Click on Start all when the enable management window comes up.

This is not too bad for one map, but we realize it is time consuming to do 11
times.

So what you want is a command or application that enables all rules for a domain
and all its child domains.
