I am trying to use DECmcc to monitor a synoptics hub. I have compiled the synoptics mib without any obvious errors. One of the variables you are then able to look at is called s3000enetConcentrator. I am able to successfully get counters for this variable. I however cannot graph any of the counters for this variable. The graph option from the menu is not enabled when I have this variable selected. The graph option works for any of the other variables. Is there an explanation for this behavior. BTW I am using version 1.2. Thanks Harry Kuhnen

3506.1 | Is it a complex data type? | TOOK::A_MOORE | Thu Aug 06 1992 10:08 | 7
I am unfamiliar with what a synoptics hub mib would produce for a s3000enetConcentrator, is it a complex data type? The graph displays all simple numeric data, not including complex data. The show functions display complex data. This might be the explaination. Al
3506.2 | just counters | CGOOA::KUHNEN | Fri Aug 07 1992 11:45 | 8
The data is just counters. The same counters are available and graphable for any module or port on the concentrator. I am sorry but I do not quite know what you mean by complex data. Thanks Harry |
