Hi,

I am unable to manage the WANrouter250 and the DECnis from the iconicmap with 
DECmcc version 1.2. 
After a succesful registration in DECmcc of the WANrouter and clicking on it's 
icon the message Entity inaccessable appears. 
When I then uses NCL with the command: 
NCL> set ncl def ent node <this wanrouter250> 
it comes back with the message:
NCL-E-NOCONNECTION, cannot esthablish CMIP connection to remote node
NCL-E-BADVALUE, bad command argument value
When I then trigger and load the WANrouter again the set ncl def ent node
works fine.
The show node <this wanrouter> all att command from FCL works fine.
If I then uses the iconicmap again and doubleclick on the WANrouter I endup 
with the same problems again.
Every time I doubleclick on the DECnis icon I get a lot of Remote Protocol 
Error events.
We haven't seen these problems with DECmcc version 1.1.

Just ignore them (or BLOCK them). Note: the WANrouter 250/150 network management software is completely different from the Net. Mgmt. software used on WANrouter 500/100 and DECNIS. 	You should be able to manage the WANrouter 250/150 from MCC providing the management software on the router works correctly. I think what Graham is trying to say in .1 is that the actual code for management of the boxes is different between the two. His pointer to the WANROUTER250 notes conference is probably your best bet to get answers to your questions in .0 as it seems that neither MCC nor NCL can be used, and that sounds like a problem at the router end.
