Hello, We are running DECmcc V1.2T7, and are in the process of requesting the installation of DECmcc V1.2 (saveset dated July 2nd '92). I already got the released V1.2 kit and compared the MCC_EVC_*.* files from the V1.2 saveset on one hand and from the V1.2T7 installed files on the other hand... they are identical. We are as well on the process of developping a critical distributed application using DECmcc (more precisely the Collection_am and the associated MCC_EVC_SINK sink) to report any event detected by any of this application component instance to a central management team. I noticed in MCC_EVC_API.C a "sleep(wait_sec)" instruction just before discon- necting the logical link. I noticed as well that removing that sleep instruction results in loosing events by the event sink (MCC_EVC_SINK). I would appreciate very much if you could comment the reason of the need for the sleep instruction together with the chosen delay (wait_sec = 5). Taking into account the detailed level of this question, I suggest you send your reply via VMS Mail: TPLAB::COLLEYE. In advance, thank you for your clarification. Maurice.
