3435.0. "TSAM V1.0 SSB install = no help files" by BRAT::BUKOWSKI () Mon Jul 27 1992 10:35
The install says it complete ok except for the updating of the
help files. The result says the installation completed successfully,
but I don't have any help files. The error was due to disk space, but
I had verified the requirenments listed in the release notes. Why did
this happen? More importantly, how do I recover? Do I have to re-
install MCC BMS again!?
Thanks in advance,
Network Management,
Mike

3435.1 | help for help | TOOK::FONSECA | I heard it through the Grapevine... | Tue Jul 28 1992 18:07 | 21 |
| You should not have to re-install. You've revealed a bad assumption
I made for the TSAM kitinstal. I had hard-coded the size of the help
system files, but since you had already installed other AMs/FMs, the
help files were already much larger. There is not much that can be done
about the documentation, we don't know ahead of time how large those
files were going to be once you have installed other modules.
Execute the following lines to correctly update your help files:
$ set def mcc_common
$ delete mcc_common:*.top;*
$ manage/toolkit/help_builder
$ copy mcc_character_cell_help.hlb sys$common:[syshlp]
$ copy mcc_decwindows_help.hlb sys$common:[syshlp]
You might want to verify that the file MCC_TS_AM.HELP is located in MCC_COMMON,
before doing all of this. If not, re-install TSAM answering no to the
MRM question and no to the dictionary update question, but Yes to the help file
question.
