Hello, I need help or a pointer to help. I have DECMCC v1.1.0 with the SNMP AM and CHIPCOM MIB. I'm looking at CHIPCOM concentrators some at EMM 3.0 and some at EMM 2.1. If I go directly through the iconic map. Clicking on the SNMP device icon,chipcom icon, chiphub icon, porttable icon the application exits with a access violation. %SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=04, virtual address=0019CBD4, PC=000CFAEE, PSL=03C00000 Improperly handled condition, image exit forced. If I access the some information on the SNMP device icon .ie show char. Then I can access the porttable information without a program dump. Thinking that it was a problem with the MIB I got the CHIPCOM_HUB3_BRG_10BT_MIBDEF.TXT and loaded it. Now I get the same dump and it seems that I am going to have to remove and re-add all my concentrators on the iconic map so that they will even answer up. Is there anything that I can do about the program dump and what can I do to speed up the reloading of my concentrators? Thanks, Gary T.

Hi Gary, Have you patched, with mandatory kit, the MCCTPCIP AM V1.1 ? I remember a DECmcc pb on display private MIB extention via ICONIC_MAP... Renato | |||||
3413.2 | Where are patches? | DPDMAI::TROSPER | The Oklahoma Kid | Thu Jul 23 1992 16:31 | 12 |
I'm not sure what patches were done to the system. I'm on residency here at the hospital and inherited the MCC workstation from the proverbial WHITE KNIGHT install. ( You know, the out of towner rides in stirs up all kinds of trouble and then rides out again, leaving the locals to clean up the mess. ;^) ) Where are the patches located and I'll see about pulling them and see if they have been applied. Hi Gary, I've copied the saveset MCCTCPIP_A011.A for VMS on DPDMAI:: (DECnet account). I hope it will be sufficient. Renato PS : If that patch doesn't fix your bug, please note that I'm in holidays since tomorrow, for 3 weeks... So, sorry for my being notes-absent... |
