3397.0. "Our MIB's on SUN-Netmanager" by ARRODS::COOMBESA () Tue Jul 21 1992 11:26

    We've just delivered a number of DECBrdige 620's to a customer. We've
    recommended the use of DECmcc to manage these Bridges, but the customer
    already has SUN-Netmanager and therefore want us to demonstrate our
    MIB's on their SUN-IPX station. The following MIB's have been loaded on the
    SUN....
    	Bridge.txt
    	Bridge_std_mibdef.txt
    	Fddi_std_mibdef.txt
    They all fail to complie using the Netmanager utility - MIB2schema
    v1.2, we get errors relating to "unresolved index entries" and "keys
    for tables missing". However they compile ok on a VAX.

    We would appreciate any ideas on how to resolve this incompatibility.

3397.1These mibs aren't DEC private mibs.YAHEY::BOSETue Jul 21 1992 13:0311
	The mibs that you mention (Bridge_std_mibdef.txt,Fddi_std_mibdef.txt),
	are standard mibs and have corresponding RFCs. As such, most
	mib compilers should be able to handle them.

>> for tables missing". However they compile ok on a VAX.

	Do you mean DECmcc running on VAX/VMS?

    The mibs compile ok on a VAX VMS system running MCC. I'm trying to get
    hold of an Ultrix based MCC station, but the SUN-IPX is running SUN O/S
    V4.1.2 which is different again anyway.
