3395.0. "V1.2 Exporting problem" by PANIC::HOARE () Tue Jul 21 1992 10:25
I would like to view the information that I have recorded historically in
the MIR using Mcc V1.2. This information comprises line and circuit
information derived from six routers at 15min intervals over a period of
about three days. When I do a "show recording", I am informed that the
polling has been successful.
So far so good I believe, however I am having trouble inspecting this
information to ensure that I have good data.
I have been exporting a three or four hour sample of the information
using the EXPORT facility in the menu and recieved notification that
exporting has been successful. I exported both line and circuit
information over the same time interval to ensure that I had sufficient
information to be produced on a graph.
I am certain that the Mcc Reports setup is correct and that MCC_EXPORT
and DICTIONARY are defined properly and was able to produce graphical
output from an earlier attempt.
But I get errors as follows from the the DTR log file:
"Find current with time stamp between DATE1_hold and DATE2_hold, 0
records found"
hence no Hourly utilisation graph.
The recording interval that I used was 14-jul-1992 18:20 until 18-jul-1992
06:00 (at 15min intervals) and I exported from 15-jul-1992 01:00 until
15-jul-1992 03:00. In Mcc Reports I entered in the same dates and hours
as the exporting period.
When I experimented in Mcc Reports with a period 14-jul-1992 01:00
until 14-jul-1992 03:00, I got the following error.
63 records found BUT
Graph-W-... The data contains all zeroes.
--------------------------------------------
Can anybody comment on the above and tell me if I am allowed to export
samples of information, or whether I have to export exactly the
interval specified.
Also, if older .SNP files remain relating to previous attempts, will
these complicate matters and should they be deleted.

3395.1 | did you use NUMBER or NAME | CTHQ3::WOODCOCK | | Wed Jul 22 1992 11:06 | 7 |
| When you ran the reports package and asked for a report did you specify a
node NAME or node NUMBER??? For DECnet phase_iv (if that's what you're working
with) needs the NODE NUMBER when cutting a report.
