Hello,

I am running DECmcc V1.2.0 on VMS V5.4-1.

There is something I don't understand with the Notification FM.

I have created rules (Occurs Rule) with the Iconic Map (the severity is 
always different of "indeterminate").

1 . If I create the following notification request :

Enabled  X25_SUPERVISION Entity List = (SARE *), Events = (COM DISPON, 
                                                           COM INDISPO)

to be notified with EVENTS, the events are noted as "indeterminate"
when the rules fire :
    . on the Iconic Map (the bell contains the "?" sign unstead of the number 
      representing the severity  of the event),
    . on the Notification window, the severity field contains "indeterminate",
    . on the Notification Detail window, the Severity field is empty.
    
Why the severity field is not taken in account ?
    	

2 . If I create the following notification request :

Enabled  X25_SUPERVISION 

to be notified with ALARMS, the alarms are noted with the correct severity
when the rules fire :
    . on the Iconic Map (the bell contains the number representing the 
      severity  of the event),
    . on the Notification window, the severity field contains the correct
      value,
    . on the Notification Detail window, the Severity field is always
      empty but the Perceived Severity field contains the correct value.

    
Are these differente behaviours normal ? If yes, could somebody give me some
    explanations.
