    We are pleased to announce the  following  organizational  additions  to
    ensure  timely  delivery of the Common Agent on VMS and ULTRIX.  We have
    recently  added  a  supervisor  and  new  project  leader  to  the   VMS
    organization.   Jack  Fallon  (STAR::JFALLON)  is the supervisor and Jim
    Johnson  (STAR::JJOHNSON)  is  the  project  leader.

    On  the  Ultrix/OSF1 side  Michelle  Hadfield  (TOOK::HADFIELD) is  the 
    Supervisor, Pete Burgess (TOOK::BURGESS) is the project leader.  We are 
    also adding a new team member Doug McKenzie who will be focusing on SNMP 
    specific extensions throughout the Common Agent for Ultrix.


    These are the responsibilities of our leadership team:

<                   Common Agent Technical Leader

     o Steve Wong

         - Arbitrates technical issues which are platform independent
           or cross platform boundaries

         - Participates in standards negotiations outside of Digital
           
<                   Common Agent for VMS V1.0 Project Roles


     o  Project Leader (Jim Johnson)

         -  Owns schedule - all aspects of it

         -  Resolves    project-related    internal    issues    (conflicts,
            dependencies, risks)


     o  External Contact (Jim Krycka)

         -  Coordinates  with  external  groups  (TNSG,   SQA,   5x5   team,
            Documentation, etc.)

         -  Owns issues list (tracks external issues, dependencies, risks)


     o  Supervisor (Jack Fallon)

         -  Coaching and development (current job and career)

         -  Performance Reviews

         -  Owns team meetings

         -  Alternate contact with external groups


     o  Technical Leader (Rich Bouchard)

         -  QAR tracking

         -  Formal Inspections

         -  Technical Arbiter

         -  Owns internal development environment (policies and procedures)

         -  Owns baselevel meetings


     o  Testing/Performance (Andre St.  Laurent)

         -  Produce comprehensive quality plan

         -  Leads the execution of the quality plan

     o  Project Leader (Pete Burgess)

         -  Owns schedule - all aspects of it
