I am not an expert in net mgt, but my customer has asked me to
investigate Network management tools using SNMP. Basicly all they want
to be able to do is collect statistics, monitor the Lan, and be able to
correct problems that occur (manually /automated). The comment I get
from the customer is that DECmcc has more features than is needed. And
the they dont want to spend 50K for features that are not required.

Sounds like a job for MSU. /doug BTW: DECmcc BMS lists for ~$US 14k. Where do you get the $US 50k figure? | |||||
