I have been asked what are the "most common faults" aided by the DECmcc V1.2 Fault Diagnostic Assistant; for both DECnet and TCP/IP. I haven't a clue. Is there a brief listing of these common faults which I could view? Regards, Mark

Mark, The TCP/IP DA addresses the following fault symptoms: - host unknown - host unreachable - network unreachable - nfs problems - rcp denied - rlogin denied - rsh denied - telnet timeout - telnet refused - inetd problems In addition, the following utilities are provided: - load check - path trace - ping There is no release being planned for a similar product for DECnet.
