| I believe that ELM and TSAM will be included with the new EMS kit,
as they were in the previous EMS kit. However, to be sure, you might
contact Gail (DELNI::) Ferreira, who is the EMA Framework Prod/Bus manager.

3334.3 | BMS V1.2 tests for DECMCC-EMS license | FRAIS::64917::SYSTEM | Information, that's all I need... | Fri Jul 10 1992 08:17 | 16 |
| Hi,
I recently installed BMS V1.2 with major problems. One of them was that BMS
tests for the EMS license. How come?
If this behaviour will consist, we will experience MAJOR problems with our in-
stalled base when upgrading or selling new stations.
Please comment on that behaviour and if, why and when it will change or not.
Thanx in advance

3334.4 | Why is this a problem? | TOOK::MINTZ | Erik Mintz, dtn 226-5033 | Fri Jul 10 1992 08:22 | 5 |
| I don't understand. The BMS package is a subset of the EMS package.
So the comonents of the BMS kit will work with either a BMS license
OR an EMS license. Why is this a problem?

3334.6 | How about an existing SMS license? | ANDRIS::putnins | | Fri Jul 10 1992 15:55 | 7 |
| While we're on the subject, is a customer's existing SMS license also
sufficient to run DECmcc BMS V1.2?
In general, could someone please post an explanation of the license
checking logic used by the various V1.2 packages?

3334.7 | DECMCC-SMS PAK is obsolete | TOOK::MINTZ | Erik Mintz, dtn 226-5033 | Fri Jul 10 1992 18:23 | 7 |
| The DECMCC-SMS PAK will no longer work with the V1.2 software.
Someone from product management will be replying shortly with
a solution for current SMS customers.
