I can't remember if this has been reported before - MCC 1.2.7 VMS 5.4-2 MCC_DNA4_EVL used to maintain a log file at SYS$Manager:MCC_DNA4_EVL.LOG. In this version it doesn't. Instead it keeps two file called SYS$OUTPUT. and SYS$ERROR. in SYS$SYSTEM open ie a Show DEV/FILES gives . . MCC_DNA4_EVL 2020012D [SYS0.SYSEXE]SYS$OUTPUT.;17 MCC_DNA4_EVL 2020012D [SYS0.SYSEXE]SYS$ERROR.;17 . . Ian

If my memory serves me well, T1.2.7 had a bug so that the EVL
process would not start. Workaround was to RUN/DETACH the EVL
process. In this case you see the files you mentioned, unless you
specify /output=... and /error=... with the RUN command.

Yes, I'd put RUN/DETACH in the startup file and forgotten about it. regards, Ian | |||||
