Hello,
A customer is using EMA/DECmcc in order to manage a very big LAN
(biggest in Europe). He has now a project of PC Integration with
Pathworks and He would like to know how he can manage a large number of
PC (600 to 2000) through DECmcc (performances, alarm handling,
configuration,etc...)
Is there any development to integrate Pathworks in the EMA.
Thanks for any help,
Michel, EIS France

Michel,
We are working with the PC group responsible for Pathworks (PCSG)
to define management approaches that will lead to the development
of management solutions to the very area you addressed. Unfortunately
it is somewhat premature to discuss any of that here. Additional
information will be posted here when available.
In the mean time, if you have any specific requirements that you
would like to share or any questions, please communicate them
either here or in email.
Alex

Alex,
Waiting for a full integrated DECmcc solution, are there some tools
available to manage a big Pathworks network, with many servers, from a
central management station ?
Thank you very much for your help.
Michel.

re .2
Michel,
Here's an anonymous reply:
There are some third party tools, NASserver by Webester Computer Corporation
runs under MS-Windows and Macintosh. The other is Viola (I'm not sure that
spelled right) by ??? Macintosh only. Both only deal with single servers at a
time and as far as I know have no event monitoring capability.
