3219.0. "MCC Output Is Inconsistent" by MTITAN::FREWIN (Operating At The Speed Of Light) Fri Jun 19 1992 15:34
I'm using a DCL command procedure that starts MCC and then polls all
DECmcc registered bridges TLU. The DECmcc command is as follows:
show bridge q10fb1 forw data dyn entry * all attributes, -
with disposition=learned, to file = q10fb1_nodes.txt
When I look at the output file I get inconsistent information. Re-running the
procedure causes different entities to have incomplete information. I've
even tried having it just display, with the same results. Here's an example
of the output:
$ TYPE LAN$DISK:[FREWIN.DECMCC.DATA]D2FB1_NODES.TXT;14
Bridge NETTST_NS:.d2fb1 Forwarding Database Dynamic Entry AA-00-04-00-FF-35
AT 19-JUN-1992 14:10:30 All Attributes
Address = AA-00-04-00-FF-35
Bridge NETTST_NS:.d2fb1 Forwarding Database Dynamic Entry AA-00-04-00-FF-34
AT 19-JUN-1992 14:10:30 All Attributes
Address = AA-00-04-00-FF-34
Outbound Port = 1
Disposition = Learned
Bridge NETTST_NS:.d2fb1 Forwarding Database Dynamic Entry AA-00-04-00-FE-35
AT 19-JUN-1992 14:10:30 All Attributes
Address = AA-00-04-00-FE-35
Outbound Port = 1
Disposition = Learned
Bridge NETTST_NS:.d2fb1 Forwarding Database Dynamic Entry AA-00-04-00-FD-35
AT 19-JUN-1992 14:10:30 All Attributes
Address = AA-00-04-00-FD-35
Outbound Port = 1
Disposition = Learned
Bridge NETTST_NS:.d2fb1 Forwarding Database Dynamic Entry AA-00-04-00-FD-34
AT 19-JUN-1992 14:10:30 All Attributes
Address = AA-00-04-00-FD-34
Outbound Port = 1
Disposition = Learned
NOTE: D2FB1 is a DECbridge 620, but I have seen it happen on 500s, 100s, and 150s.
Has this problem been addressed. If a QAR needs to be logged
where and how do I do it? We are running DECmcc T1.2.7 with VMS v5.5
Thanks,
Steve Frewin
