I seem to be having a problem with using SNMP wild cards and ALARMS. The rule I am specifying is: SNMP * ipReachability NE UP However when I wnable the alarm I get an error message back: %MCC-NO-ENTITY, no corresponding entity instance. I find this curious because I have tried am alarm with the expression: SNMP rabbit ipReachability NE UP and it works OK. I don't know why I am having trouble with the wildcard. I am running DECmcc VMS T.1.2.7 Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Randy
