3177.0. "PDP11 using DECnet and DECmcc" by MQOSWS::F_MONETTE (Montreal Sales Support) Fri Jun 12 1992 09:28

My question is I have PDP11/73-83-84 running RSX11M+ V3.0 with DECnet
Did anybody try to register a node4 like that. I know that this is
DECnet but I don't know if NML object was there at this time. I'am not
able to this out because we don't have any PDP11 running around.

My second question is regarding the COLLECTOR AM and PDP11. THe API
that come with the DECmcc kit are good for VMS and ULTRIX. the
customer is asking me if the same API can be use from the PDP11 to
send notification to DECmcc using the Collector AM.

any help

Thank you

The transmit portion of the data collector is shipped in source form.
As long as there is a DECnet transport available, it is possible to
build the send image on any system you like. However, we have
not tested it on a PDP11, so some modifications may be required on
site to make it build.

PS - If you get this to work, let us know what you needed to change,
and we will feed it in to the next version.

    Francois,

For the PDP questions try giving Stephane Lefebvre a call at dtn
633-3856. He did three months onsite configuring mcc in a pdp
    environment.

By the way, how's it going?
