3154.0. "access to freed memory in mcc_time_convert?" by COOKIE::KITTELL (Richard - Enterprise Storage Mgmt) Tue Jun 09 1992 17:57
Using X1.2.15, we're seeing an access to freed memory by mcc_time_convert
or something it calls. That is, when we run with FAKE_VM and
FAKE_VM_REAL_MEM_FREE_OFF = 3 an access violation occurs within a call
to mcc_time_convert. Analysis shows that memory is being allocated, then
freed, then accessed. The access causes a accvio because FAKE_VM removed the
referenced memory from the VA when it was freed.
I noticed some notes saying you've just done a major memory-leak eradication,
so before I posted a QAR I thought I'd see whether this turned up and was
fixed during that effort.
