Hi Has anyone written a C program to monitor a process on (a VMS machine) and send the results to DECmcc collector. The reason for this, is so that I can monitor both the DNA4 and DNA5 evl processes and change the color of a ICON , if there is a problem. Gary

DCM can monitor process among other things and can also run a DCL procedure when it detects a problem. This is what I currently use with DECmcc which now notifies me (via DCM) of disk errors, process problems, cpu & memory errors, and much more. For more info on DCM see SHIRE::DCM Greg. | |||||

In the past, we wrote some modules as an extension to ENOP, to monitor processes and Decnet objects. Thse could be modified to send a message to DECmcc (through the data collector) instead of ENOP. If you are interested in more details, give me a call. Timo 828-5148 |
