Most of our network products (routers, bridges, servers ...) can be managed with the SNMP protocol. If a customer wants to use this proctoctol to manage our products with a non DIGITAL SNMP platform what is the way to sale him the description of our private MIB ? Is there any ASN.1 description file available ? Have we one MIB by network product or a big one where we can find all definitions ? Of course, i push DECMCC to do it. Thank you for any info, Regards Bernard

Sorry, this is the responsibilty of the various products that have SNMP agents. I know that many of these products have private MIB extensions because I have shown them at trade shows and we have compiled them at various times. This is a highly dynamic area. At least once a month another device shows up. You might want to contact Elias Hatem TOOK::e_hatem for what he has but it will not be official. If you want an official all inclusive CONCISE MIB of all DEC private MIBs you will have to do the leg work to find all the pieces and put it together. wally | |||||
