Here come some questions concerning the use of DECmcc for a french project
(700 DECnet nodes, 220 IBM Controllers, 500 IP nodes, 40 Ethernet segments...):
. �The Management Station can be accessed either from the IMPM or from VTs
(remote access to display the status of the network).�
Q: Is it possible to display current alarms (notifications) from the FCL PM?
. � Alarms, events and actions must be logged. "Tools" can be used to make
reports... �
Q: Can the HISTORIAN/EXPORTER FMs be used for alarms and events?
Q: Any way to log ACTIONS (user actions from the IM or FCL PM)?
. � Access to the Management Station can be tailored... (Who can do, show,
modify... what). �
Q: Any realistic (not ACLs...) way to do this with MCC? Any schedule for this
kind of protections?
