3054.0. "Can't LOOK INTO a NODE4 entity via IMPM" by CUJO::HILL (Dan Hill-Net.Mgt.-Customer Resident) Fri May 22 1992 02:48
When double-clicking on a NODE4 entity on the map, I get the "entity
has no children" message window. I can only get "executor" information
about the node. This appears to be the case will all of my NODE4
entities, both VMS- and Ultrix-based.
I have tried doing an UPDATE using MCC_DNA4_AM_SVC_IF.COM, but I still
have no luck.
I am running VMS V5.5, Motif V1.1, and DECmcc EFT2 T1.2.7 .
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dan

3054.1 | Bum dictionary? | RACER::dave | Ahh, but fortunately, I have the key to escape reality. | Fri May 22 1992 09:24 | 5 |
| Sounds like you need to fix a badly broken dictionary.
Run DAP and see what children it thinks are in the dictionary for NODE4.
Make a copy of your dictionary and try to delete those children that exist.
This will tell you if the entries are corrupt or not.
