hi, please excuse me for asking for help here, I realise that it is probably a very simple question, but then everything is simple once you know it.. I am using SMS 2.1 (BMS v1.1) and trying to look at SHOW STATISTICS on lines/circuits on just plain old Phase IV nodes.. the command executes fine as long as the time that you are interested in starts "now", but if you try and set the scope of interest time to relative or absolute I keep getting an error reported, and a loads of zeros. I have not got the exact error message to hand, but I really wanted to check first off that what I was doing was supposed to be possible.. ie Is it valid to get say the last 5 mins worth of statistics on something ? I have got the historian process running in batch, but haven't set up exporting because I didn't think that was necessary for this "simple" task... Any hints/suggestions are gratefully received, Anne - SPS person trying to get a customer to buy this product !!

It is possible to get statistics for the last 5 mins worth of data provided you have recorded the data. To make sure that you have recorded the data, do a SHOW NODE4 entity .. ALL COUNT, FOR START past time, IN DOMAIN name If the data is available then you can do a SHOW on ALL STATISTICS specifying the past time for a duration of 5 mins, as follows: SHOW NODE4 entity .. ALL STATISTICS, FOR START past time DURATION 0:5:0, IN DOMAIN name Please note that, depending on the entity you may have to record counters/Characteristics for one or more entitities. Please check the section on "COMPUTING STATISTICS FROM HISTORICAL DATA" in the PA USe Manaul. |
