I'm using T1.2.7 on VMS. I've got the notification with targetting working fine. Problem: When the targetting is setup from the iconic map, is it stored permanently until it is deleted. How can the targetting settings be stored so that when the MCC is started the next time, the targetting takes effect automatically, like the automatic notification startup. I tried to get the information from the Alarms and notification manual, but have not been able to figure out how is the targetting saved. Pardon me if I've missed something. Raj Singapore

2968.1 | targeting goes into a MIR --- it's permanent until deleted | DADA::DITMARS | Pete | Wed May 13 1992 10:22 | 23 |
Hi, >When the targetting is setup from the iconic map, is it stored permanently >until it is deleted. YES. Notification/alarms in the map is a bit confusing. Here's what is permanent and what is not: PERMANENT (STORED IN A MIR ON DISK AND SHARED BY ALL MCC USERS ON DOMAIN BASIS) alarm rules targeting information ONLY LIVES IN A SINGLE MCC SESSION notify requests The IMPM provides a method for users to store notify requests and retrieve them whenever your session starts up, as you've already discovered. The documentation doesn't make this distinction very well. It probably should. | |||||
