Is it too late to change the case of the file names of the MAP files on the Ultrix version of MCC. In my current environment we use DECmcc on both Ultrix and VMS while sharing a common DNS namespace. We also copy the map files and the icon files from VMS to Ultrix thus preventing the customer from having to draw the maps/icons twice. While the map file names are identical on both VMS and Ultrix the case of the file names are not similar. eg: mcc_2478000400AA000001C9FCC3BBA75DE0.mcc_map_decnet_segments If I use dcp to copy this file from VMS to Ultrix the file name will end up being all lowercase, and the file search algorithm for DECmcc ultrix will not recognise the file as a valid map file. I would like if the Ultrix file names were all lowercase or else have the file search algorithm changed so that it also looks for a map file name which is lowercase. It looks good that we easily share the maps and icons between platforms but it is a pain trying to get the case correct on Ultrix. Thanks, Mike

If this change is made please let us know as soon as possible. The ELM FMs create map files and they need to follow the mcc naming convention. Thanks, Bob |
