    2. I also had errors when installing the ELM update with processing the
    help files - the error said

    VMS error ket not found on severla lines about 2TSE_TS_PORT.........

    It works though

    3. When I was in the IMPM with some alarms running - I tried to leave
    and the IMPM hung - it wouldn't exit.

2895.2Found one of themWELLIN::MCCALLUMFri May 01 1992 13:3114

    I have found my first problem. It was to do with a collector entity
    with the old class identifier. When I did a

    Dir domain welwyn member *

    and a

    Sho domain welwyn member *

    I got different results. I have now found the culprit collector and
    cleaned it up and the problem has gone away.

The only problem that I know of in processing the help files with ELM
are some harmless warnings in processing the file mcc_pa_fm.help. This
is entered as QAR 2782. This looks like it could be something different
however.

Can you tell me which help files were being processed when you saw
this error or better yet do you have a log of your installation? I
can't find this string in any of our help files.

If you're not sure where it came from do a search of mcc_common:*.help
for TSE_TS_PORT. I couldn't find it at all on my system so maybe you
have an old help file around in mcc_common.

Thanks,

Bob

    Did you see any errors messages displayed in the decterm?

    Was the DECelms related window displayed at the time of exit?
    (The iconic map sends an alert to the threads created for
    DECelms. It will wait for them to terminate before exiting)
2895.5DECelms needs to test for iconic map alertBARREL::LEMMONTue May 05 1992 12:358
    I spoke with the DECelms folks and found that the
    alert the iconic map sends to tell them to shut down
    is not being handled. This would cause the iconic
    map to hang upon exiting.

    They are looking into this matter.

2895.6Yes, probably old tsamWELLIN::MCCALLUMWed May 06 1992 06:0311

    Yes, I probably had an old copy of the TSAM help file (sounds like it
    TSE_TS_PORT..).

    I had 1.2.4 with elm and tsam installed.

    I upgraded to 1.2.7, then added elms and did a build, so the tsam help
    file from 1.2.4 may have been there.

2895.7Help error from old TSAM fileTOOK::FONSECAI heard it through the Grapevine...Wed May 06 1992 15:505
Yep, that's an old TSAM help file. The T1.2.7 help file builder
is much stricter about our old errors, if you install the new TSAM
kit, that will be taken care of.
