I've sucessfully updated my BMS T1.2.4 to BMS T1.2.7, also I've upgraded to compatible versin with BMS T1.2.7 TSAM and ELM AM, but when I tray to open a domain with the Iconic Map PM I get the following error: $ set display/create/node=63.162 $ mana/enter show mcc 0 all att DECmcc (T1.2.7) MCC 0 AT 27-APR-1992 12:00:33 All Attributes Component Name = SGR:.MCC.PROA_DIRECTOR Component Version = T1.2.7 Component Identification = "DECmcc" Default Namespace Root Directory = "" Namespace Selection = "DECdns" $ mana/enter show mcc 0 termserver_am all att DECmcc (T1.2.7) MCC 0 TERMSERVER_AM AT 27-APR-1992 12:01:33 All Attributes Component Version = T1.0.7 Component Identification = "DECmcc Terminal Server AM" State = Enabled $ mana/enter show mcc 0 iconicmap all att DECmcc (T1.2.7) MCC 0 ICONICMAP AT 27-APR-1992 12:03:10 All Attributes Component Identification = "DECmcc ICONIC MAP PM" Component Version = "T1.2.7 " $ mana/enter show mcc 0 bridge_am all att DECmcc (T1.2.7) MCC 0 BRIDGE_AM AT 27-APR-1992 12:03:27 All Attributes Available Ports = { "EZA0:" } Component Version = T1.2.7 Component Identification = "DECmcc Bridge AM" $ set display/create/node=63.162 $ manage/enter/i=d %Thread 9 terminating with exception: %CMA-F-EXCCOP, exception raised; VMS condition code follows -SYSTEM-F-ACCVIO, access violation, reason mask=00, virtual address=00000004, PC=00400B16, PSL=03C00004 PROA::SGR_MAN 12:06:13 MCC_MAIN CPU=00:01:35.60 PF=65976 IO=3132 MEM=12078 %MCC-E-ABORTCTRLY, image aborted by Ctrl\Y $ log SGR_MAN logged out at 27-APR-1992 12:07:53.43 DECmcc is running on a DualHost with VAX/VMS V5.4-2. What types of entities are in your default domain? Try disabling notification by changing the notification resource in mcc_resource.dat from 1 to 0. Let me know if this still occurs. It looks like the thread that does the NOTIFY DOMAIN <domain> terminated. Also try the following from the command line: SHOW DOMAIN <domain> MEMBER * ALL CHAR NOTIFY DOMAIN <domain> Thanks /Jim

after reproducing this in process A, do the following from process B with privileges: $ anal/sys SDA> set output tmp.tmp SDA> show process/image "<process A's name>" and post tmp.tmp along with the information you posted in .0 (if any of the numbers changed). This will let us track down where the problem has occurred. thanks, Pete

Hello, I've tray starting IMPM whith notification disabled and no default domain, but when I open the any domain I get the same error. Also the FCL works fine with show domain and notify domain commands. What can I do to get a running IM PM?. Perhaps go back to T1.2.4?. Do you have a map file for the domain? If so, try opening a domain without a map file. Also try using the local mir instead of the dns mir. To do this define $DEFINE MCC_DNS_SELECTION MIR See if you can create a domain, add members to it, re-open it, save map file etc. To change it back to DNS just deassign the logical. /Jim

MCC_UIL was pointing to a directory with t1.2.4 .UID files in it. The t1.2.4 files are not compatable with T1.2.7, hence the accvio. /Jim |
