After installing T1.2.7 I get the following effect: I enable about 70 alarmrules in batchmode. As soon as the alarmrules start polling I get a lot of NML-Server processes ( about 70 ). I can't explain this behavior. When I stop the alarm batchprocess, the NML-Server processes disappear. The NML processes consume heavy system resources ( process slots, memory, CPU time ) and slow down the whole system. The corresponding NETSERVER.LOG files just say: NML connection from 0::<user>. I can't explain this behaviour - what is the reason ? Karl

The T1.2.7 release temporarily disables the use of NMLSHR on VMS. This means that network links are used for local access. Please see the release notes for more information. p.s. Even though your alarm rules may not be about the local node, the local node may be queried for validation purposes. | |||||
