I am attempting to run V1.2.7 on a 4000 FT running VMS X5.5-1IF. The system was previously running V1.2.4 OK even for demo purposes. The upgrade appeared to be fine, and MCC_AUDIT runs clean through with no suggestions. MCC can be invoked through the line interface OK, but whenever a command is invoked or the DECwindows presentation is selected.....the processor crashes ! Any suggestions as to where the problem lies, I shall make a crash dump available tomorrow. :#( Rex

Rex, Can I assume from your description that this crash happens when displaying the IMPM windows on a remote workstation? If so, I have seen something very similar with BL18. I suggest that if you run the IMPM from an account in the system group (ie [1,xxx] in the 410FT it will work. Hope this workaround helps until the fix is available. Paul. | |||||

QAR 02802 Thank you for your qAR. This problem was related to the field test version of VMS you were running. A bug existed in one of VMS' "find image symbol" routines which DECmcc turns out to have been very good at exposing in certain configurations. | |||||
