Apologies if I've missed something, but I'm reading the release notes remotely on-line at the moment. Chapter 3.2 states that the Ultrix MIR format has been changed with T1.2.7 and that all the old MIRs must be deleted. This implies, but doesn't explicity state that I'm going to lose all of my data that I've currently got stored. Is this correct, or are there some conversion utilities provided? Ian Pratt

I believe that is correct. Since this is the first version of DECmcc Director for Ultrix there are risks in using intermeadiate baselevels (like any not yet released product). Certainly every attempt is made to avoid such things but changes to MIR formats had to be made. I don't know if the instance date extraction tool has been converted from DCL to a shell script yet. It is under way. s/rob |
