2775.1 | Fixed with TSAM version T1.0.7 | TOOK::FONSECA | I heard it through the Grapevine... | Thu Apr 16 1992 16:24 | 15 |
| There is a known problem with the baselevel of TSAM you are using
which can result in a hang. Although I can't say for sure that we
have fixed your hanging problem, when our next baslevel comes out
(which is coming out at the same time as DECmcc EFT update very very soon now),
I would like you to install, and see if the problem is still there.
This would typically manifest itself when the terminal server was inaccessable
for any reason (down, being accessed by another user etc.)
You would not by any chance be using the ELMs listener would you?
That can not be running at the same time TSAM is being used.
Thanks,
Dave

2775.2 | Hangs while creating/deleting alarms | MERIDN::ATTERBERRY | | Thu Apr 16 1992 18:12 | 15 |
| Hi Dave,
I don't have the ELMs listener running, but I do have the ELM AM
running. I will install the new baselevel software as soon as all
three components I need are available. I have about 200 alarms
being evaluated every two minutes so if there's a problem I know
about it pretty quick. The hang occurs typically when I'm creating
and deleting terminal server alarms. It will get through the first
alarm but sit and hang forever on the next. Since I have this in a
batch job the first thing I do now is restart the TSAM to get around
this problem.
Thanks for the info.

| Joe-
If you have more than one alarm defined for a particular terminal server,
that would fit well with the bug we know about. TSAM would be stepping
on its own feet so to speak. Lets see how the next version works for you.
