2770.0. "Q: DECmcc Dictionary Hierarchy" by BIS1::COLLEYE () Wed Apr 15 1992 11:45
Hello,
In order to check my DECmcc DICTIONARY, I would be interressed to
retreive from that DICTIONARY the entity classes hierarchy in my DECmcc
intallation (i.e. the Global entity classes, their child entity classes and,
futher on in the hierachy, the related child entity classes).
The DAP tool does not allow to have such a picture (except potentially
with a dump of the whole dictionary... but this requires long processing
time); I undertstand that I have to use the mcc_dic routines.
questions
---------
1) which mcc_dic routine(s) have to be used ?
2) in order to save time (and thus money) would have somebody written such
a tool that he would be prepared to provide me with ?
In advance, thank you.
Maurice.

| I have started writing such a tool (VMS DCL) currently..
it dumps the global class and child class. It uses DAP so
would be really fast. Contact me directly if you're
interested. /Claudia

| if you still want C code to do the walk, let me know and I
can give you routines that do what you are asking for.
