I am running MCC 1.1 and lately the alarms I have had set up are miss-firing. I get a mail message of alarms past scheduled time. Also if you display a show command or any information about an entity the time and date are 4 days in the future. I thought MCC got its time from the system clock? I have checked the stations time and date and a few of the other nodes. I have also restarted the application a few times, still no time sync. Can anyone tell how to fix this problem. Thanks Harry

2763.1 | Check you MCC_TDF logical | TOOK::GUERTIN | Menagerie Control Center | Wed Apr 15 1992 09:29 | 11 |
MCC requires DTSS in order to figure out the _correct_ UTC, which it uses internally. Without DTSS, we use a guess-timate based on the MCC_TDF logical. The syntax for MCC_TDF logical is significant here. Since most people do not yet have DTSS on their system, I would guess that your problem has to do with having your MCC_TDF logical set wrong. For example, I believe that "-4" is interpreted as -4 DAYS (which is an impossible TDF), while "-4:00" is interpreted at -4 HOURS. Since MCC is very time sensitive, a mistake like setting the TDF to -4 days could cause all sorts of bizzare problems. -Matt. |
