I was adding the cisco mib definition to a 1.2.4 EFT kit on Ultrix when the machine crashed during the deletion of the cisco data dictionary information. Now the MTU breaks when it attempts to add the cisco mib to the data dictionary. Here is the command the MTU breaks on: DAP> delete class snmp subclass cisco %MCC-E-NOENTITY, no corresponding entity instance exists %MCC-E-NOENTITY, no corresponding entity instance exists However a show command on the subclass works. DAP> show class snmp subclass cisco Class (1) : SNMP ---> Subclass (2) : CISCO Definition (3) : PRESENTATION_NAME Definition (3) : INSTANCE_REQUIRED Definition (3) : DYNAMIC DAP> Any ideas...? Thanks, - Mike

Mike, The dictionary on the t1.2.4 kit is extremely fragile. My guess is that your dictionary is corrupted beyond repair. I'd suggest pulling the dictionary off the kit and replacing the one on your system. Not a very pretty situation, but maybe your only choice. Dan | |||||

Thanks Dan, I guess I'll just wait until the SSB kit is 'released'. - Mike |
